1988 从西南师范大学获硕士学位后留校任教;
1993 破格晋升为副教授。
1996 从中山大学获理学博士学位后回校工作,1998年晋升为教授。
1998-2007 先后在以色列巴伊兰大学、荷兰乌德勒支大学、香港中文大学和日本国立基础生物学研究所做博士后、访问学者或合作研究。
